Chef Pudding, 2024
Pudding, AKA; The pub cat, belongs to the Henry family who own the Koetong Pub, Northern Victoria.
Pudding was there before the Henry family took over the Pub in 2020, and has enriched the lives of this family, they couldn't not add another furry member to the family. She is definitely queen b and runs the pub.
Pudding is a sweet and gentle natured kitty who enjoys basking in the sun and obviously making pudding cakes.
Waves, 2024 - self portrait
In this recent self-portrait, I capture a moment of realising my mental health wasn't as stable as I thought. From January to March this year, I felt like I was hit by a "wave" of emotions I couldn't control. Anxiety and depression came back strong, and I could feel them taking a toll on me.
The portrait reflects how I felt crumbling before making a tough life decision that ended up making my world better than I ever imagined. Photography has always been there for me through thick and thin, capturing moments that tell the story of my life's ups and downs.
Whale shark rider, 2024
I've always enjoyed drafting up a random concept and creating it shortly after, this artwork is an example of one of those moment.s
Inspired by a little drawing I noticed on Pinterest, I was excited to put this piece together.
Jazz cat, 2023
Alfie is my beloved kitty boy. He has been my model on many occasions and has encounted lots treats for his patience.
I've always seen a bit of elegance about alfie, and wanted to portray him as a kind, gentlemanly musician. One of my favourite films as a kid was the Aristocats - so there is a lot of inspiration coming from that film.
Covid Mask, 2021- Self Portrait
This self portrait was created during the pandemic where we not able to leave our homes and would have to be "masked" up when ever we did leave for essentials.
This was at the time, a pretty self explanatory portrait where everyone was having a difficult time accepting a second lockdown.
It's amazing what everyone endured, understanding the different tolls it took on everyone. well done to all who pulled through such a difficult time together.
Locked away, 2020 - Self Portrait
During the lockdown from 2020 to 2021, I created this self-portrait.
It was a challenging period for me as an artist, with the expectation to create during ample spare time conflicting with my lack of motivation. My inner critic and feelings of guilt were constant companions. However, once I found a spark of motivation, I immersed myself in this portrait and couldn't stop. It was among the first artworks I completed during that time, and seeing it now brings me joy, reminding me of my resilience during a difficult period.
